Soil: Any well-drained garden soil.
Growth habits: Vitex is a multiple-stemmed, flowering shrub growing to 12 feet, with palmately compound, aromatic leaves, and fragrant white to blue flower spikes that give the plant a fine-textured appeal in the landscape.
Landscape uses: Hedge, mass plantings, foundation plant, or small specimen tree.
Edible/Medicinal properties: The seed pods are a popular women's hormone regulator that can help normalize difficult menstruation and menopausal symptoms.
