 Planting instructions

Blueberries, Northern highbush and lowbush (vaccinium spp.)

Exposure: Full sun to part shade. Late afternoon shade is OK. Zones 2-8.
Soil: Acidic, moist, well-drained with high organic content. Always mulch plants well and maintain even moisture for best growth and production.
Growth habits: Blueberry bushes usually begin bearing within 3 years of planting and mature within 6 years. Varities vary with respect to cold hardiness, disease resistance, and heat and drought resistance. Plant two or more varieties to increase yields and extend the harvest season.
Landscape uses: Blueberries can range in size from a groundcover plant to deciduous, mid-size bushes reaching 5 to 10 feet. Leaves are an attractive green in summer and often turn brilliant yellows, oranges, and reds in the fall. Plant two or more varieties for cross pollination and berry seasion extension.
Edible/Medicinal properties: Mature bush can produce 5 to 20 pounds of delicious, edible fruit per year, depending on variety. Blueberries are particularly high in antioxidants and have many healing and anti-aging properties.

$15.00/1 gal, limited supply of selected varieties in 3 gal at $30.00
