Motherwort, Official (Leonurus cardiaca)

Plant Characteristics: Herbaceous perennial, short lived. Full sun to part shade. Grows up to 5 feet and spreads 24 inches, Cold hardy. Grows in most soils but prefers rich soil with good drainage.
Harvest: Ground plant is harvested when the plant is in flower. Two crops per year.
Primary Benefits: Good for heart conditions, tachycardia, palpitations, hysteria, insomnia.
